MONACO — As the fourth edition of the Festival des Étoilés Monte-Carlo draws to a close, the culinary world is set for a grand autumn finale. After a series of highly celebrated dinners earlier this year, the festival, which celebrates the 150th anniversary of the iconic Caves de l’Hôtel de Paris, promises two final extraordinary events: a four-hands dinner on September 14 and 15, and the much-anticipated gala on October 11.
The festival’s last four-hands dinner will see the renowned chef Yannick Alléno team up with American chef Richard Lee for an unforgettable gastronomic experience at Pavyllon Monte-Carlo. Alléno, a multi-Michelin-starred chef, recently opened L’Abysse Monte-Carlo, showcasing his passion for Japanese cuisine. Together with Lee, a two-star Michelin chef from San Francisco’s Saison, the duo will create a menu that reflects their shared dedication to innovation and craft.
This collaboration, following previous star-studded pairings that included Alain Ducasse, Marcel Ravin, and Dominique Lory, promises to be a fitting tribute to the festival’s celebration of haute cuisine.
The culmination of the festival will take place on October 11, with a dazzling gala dinner that gathers all of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer's Michelin-starred chefs. The seven-star event will feature the culinary talents of Alain Ducasse, Marcel Ravin, Dominique Lory, and Yannick Alléno, promising an evening of exquisite dishes in the elegant surroundings of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo’s intimate patio.
More than just a feast for the senses, the gala will also highlight the remarkable history of the Hôtel de Paris’s wine cellars, home to 350,000 bottles, making it the largest hotel cellar in the world. To mark its 150th anniversary, a selection of these exceptional wines, curated by the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer’s sommeliers, will be paired with the chefs' creations.
Guests staying at one of the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer resorts during the festival will be granted a rare opportunity to visit the Hôtel de Paris’s legendary cellars. Located 12 meters underground, these cellars hold some of the most prized bottles in the world. This exclusive tour, combined with an intimate meeting with the chefs, adds a unique touch to the festival’s already luxurious offerings.
As Monaco’s culinary elite prepare for this autumn’s grand finale, the Festival des Étoilés Monte-Carlo continues to solidify its place as one of the world’s most prestigious gastronomic events, blending haute cuisine, history, and culture into an experience unlike any other.
