A Decennial of Refinement: Art Monte-Carlo Returns to the Grimaldi Forum

Since its inception in 2016, Art Monte-Carlo has carved out a distinct niche within the crowded international art calendar, prioritizing a "human-scale" elegance over the sprawling exhaustion of larger fairs. From Wednesday, April 29, through Friday, May 1, 2026, the fair will celebrate its tenth anniversary edition at the Grimaldi Forum, solidifying its status as the premier destination for modern and contemporary art on the French Riviera.

This year’s selection maintains the fair’s commitment to a curated, uncluttered experience. Approximately thirty international galleries will convene under the contemporary architecture of the Grimaldi Forum, each selected for their substantial influence in the modern and contemporary sectors. The layout remains intentionally fluid, a design choice meant to provide collectors and art professionals with an environment conducive to the optimal appreciation of the works on display.

The Creative Condition: "Earthly Delights"

The centerpiece of the anniversary edition is a curated exhibition titled Earthly Delights. Conceived by architect and curator Stefano Rabolli Pansera, the exhibition draws its thematic inspiration from filmmaker Luis Buñuel’s musings on the bar as a sanctuary for ritual, imagination, and introspection.

The exhibition seeks to explore pleasure as a generative force. Through the works of leading artists, Pansera examines the intersection of memory and invention, positioning sensory refinement and hedonistic rituals not merely as pastimes, but as creative conditions. In this context, imagination is presented as a vital method for inhabiting the modern world.

A Landmark on the Riviera

The fair’s tenth year reflects a decade of growth within a refined atmosphere. While it attracts a global audience of high-level professionals and collectors, it remains accessible to the public, offering a standard entry rate of €35.00 and a reduced rate of €20.00.

The proceedings commence with an invitation-only opening on the evening of April 28. Following the preview, the fair will open to the public daily at 2:00 pm, concluding its milestone run on the evening of May 1. As the Grimaldi Forum prepares to host these international galleries, Art Monte-Carlo reaffirms its identity: an art trade show that values the quality of the encounter as much as the quality of the art itself.
