A Historic First for Monaco Volleyball: 13 Monegasques Compete in Malta

In a groundbreaking moment for Monegasque sport, a talented group of 13 young volleyball players from Monaco is set to make history at the CEV Small Countries Association U-18 Women's Championship, held in Malta from April 10 to 13. The team, led by manager Axel Le Meur, includes Leana Curetti, Paloma Pizio, Erin Shire, Jony Jane Braggiotti Marcato, Lina Gastaud, Elisha Dana, Anastasia Amici, Louna Herbert, Naomi Nigioni, Mathea Chanas, Eden Duprat, Cassia Schubler, and Chloé Merlo.

This prestigious European championship brings together six teams from small nations: Ireland (IRL), Malta (MLT), Monaco (MON), Northern Ireland (NIR), San Marino (SMR), and Scotland (SCO). The event marks Monaco’s first-ever participation in this competition, showcasing the Principality’s growing presence in international volleyball.

With determination and team spirit, these young athletes are ready to compete against their peers and represent Monaco with pride on this exciting stage. The entire Monegasque community wishes them strength, success, and unforgettable memories in Malta!
