The co-founders of the newly announced Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie (GPHJ) convened at the Hôtel d’Évreux in Paris today to present the program and participants for the first edition of what is intended to be a global event in the field of high jewellery. The awards ceremony is scheduled for October 25 at the Sporting Monte-Carlo.
Stéphane Valeri, Managing Director of the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (SBM), and Jean-Philippe Braud, Director of the GPHJ, described the event as a tribute to craftsmanship and artistic excellence. The GPHJ aims to highlight the cultural role of high jewellery while bringing together established and emerging figures in the field.
Eleven internationally recognized jewellery houses have confirmed their participation: Anna Hu, Boucheron, Buccellati, Bulgari, Chanel, Chopard, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Messika, and Tiffany & Co.
Prior to the October gala, participating Maisons will display select pieces in their Monaco boutiques. An additional public exhibition will be held at the Café de la Rotonde at the Casino de Monte-Carlo. Visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their preferred creation through an online platform and QR codes installed throughout the city. The most-voted piece will receive the Prix du Public (Public Prize).

A jury chaired by jewellery expert Fabienne Reybaud will award eight prizes in total. Jury members include Tristan Auer, Brune de Margerie, François Curiel, Chayapa Chutrakul, Constance Assor, Evelyne Possémé, Emmanuel Piat, Philippe Scordia, and Stéphane Valeri.
The awards ceremony will take place in the Salle des Étoiles, a venue known for hosting cultural events in Monaco.
According to organizers, the GPHJ is intended to serve as a long-term platform for dialogue across the high jewellery sector, with attention to artistic innovation, transmission of knowledge, and ethical responsibility.
