On the luminous evening of May 10, 2025, Monaco’s Boulevard du Jardin Exotique shimmered not only with Mediterranean light but with the promise of legacy. At 39 Boulevard du Jardin Exotique, the Principality welcomed a noble addition to its gastronomic tableau: Prince of Venice, Pasta & Pinsa. The inauguration unfolded with timeless elegance, graced by H.R.H. Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, Prince of Venice, and H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco. More than a culinary opening, the soirée was an ode to friendship, heritage, and la grande bellezza of Italian cuisine, set in the regal ambiance of the Moneghetti district.
A Princely Friendship
This historic unveiling served as a living testament to the enduring bond between Prince Albert II and Prince Emanuele Filiberto—a friendship that has ripened over decades. Their warm embrace, captured and shared on Emanuele Filiberto’s Instagram Stories, revealed a relationship far beyond protocol. “More than an exceptional guest, a friend,” wrote the Prince of Venice - più che un invitato d’eccezione, un caro amico.
Their connection traces back to the early 2000s, when Prince Albert introduced Emanuele Filiberto to his future wife, actress Clotilde Courau. In 2003, Albert stood as best man at their wedding - an event that further bound the royal houses of Savoy and Grimaldi. More recently, in 2023, Prince Albert received the Supreme Order of the Most Holy Annunciation, the highest honor of the House of Savoy. The Monaco inauguration thus became a symbolic continuation of their shared story - a royal chapter written in the language of friendship, culture, and cuisine.
A Culinary Vision Rooted in Authenticity
Prince of Venice, Pasta & Pinsa is Emanuele Filiberto’s first European restaurant, following his acclaimed culinary ventures in Los Angeles and Jeddah. Nestled in Moneghetti, it reflects a conscious departure from glitz, favoring instead the intimacy of a community-centered location. The restaurant’s menu is a celebration of authentic Italian flavors, with a spotlight on fresh pasta, arancini, delicate dolci, and the crown jewel: the Roman pinsa—a lighter, crispier heir to ancient dough traditions.
Crafted in collaboration with Chef Niccolò Sironi, the offerings pay homage to regional Italian specialties, combining imported ingredients from Italy with local Monegasque produce. Signature dishes include Cacio e Pepe, Pesto di Pra, and Tartufo Nero, each prepared with refined simplicity and princely sophistication. The décor, too, mirrors this ethos: modern, elegant, and discreetly royal.

A Symbolic Homecoming
For Emanuele Filiberto, the opening of Prince of Venice in Monaco is deeply personal. As a long-time resident of the Principality, the choice reflects both his affection for its cultural richness and his desire to give back to the community.
The evening’s ambiance was at once intimate and regal. Guests mingled over a curated tasting menu, meeting the team behind the project while immersed in the refined charm of the venue. With every bite, a story unfolded—of heritage, of excellence, of a prince’s passion turned profession.

As the evening drew to a close, the feeling lingered: una magia sottile, a subtle magic that comes when food, history, and friendship converge.
Monaco has not just welcomed a restaurant. It has embraced a legacy.
And with every pinsa and every plate of pasta, Prince of Venice promises to whisper the elegance of Italy—un assaggio alla volta.
