Administration Develops a Mobility Plan to Promote Eco-Friendly Transportation for Its Employees

As the largest employer in the Principality, the Administration aims to set an example in reducing direct greenhouse gas emissions in Monaco by 55% by 2030 compared to 1990 levels, and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

In line with the Principality’s mobility plan launched in the first quarter of 2024 and the National Pact for Energy Transition of the Administration, the Princely Government has initiated an interministerial effort. This effort, supported by a consortium of specialized consultancy firms—EGIS, EKODEV, and FATEC—aims to develop a transportation plan for government employees.

The goal of this working group, with input from a panel of 3,451 state agents and civil servants, is to propose, by 2025, environmentally friendly transportation options for commuting and professional travel. This plan aims to reduce travel times and transportation costs while promoting sustainable transport modes.
