Princess Charlène of Monaco attended the latest edition of the "Water Safety Day" on Wednesday, June 17, an initiative organized by the Princess Charlène of Monaco Foundation at the Bagno Flora beach in Viareggio.
Since its inception in 2014, the program has been dedicated to educating children on the fundamentals of water safety, sports rescue, and first aid. This year, approximately 50 young people from local leisure centers and inclusive associations in Viareggio participated in educational and athletic workshops. These sessions were facilitated by Stéphanie Barneix, an ambassador for the foundation, and her team, who worked alongside Italian lifeguards.
The morning’s proceedings featured demonstrations by the Italian Coast Guard and the Italian School of Water Rescue Dogs (SICS), with participation from the Viareggio branch of the Italian Red Cross.

In a first for the event, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation joined the initiative as part of the "Together Crossing for the Pelagos" project. The waterbike crossing project is scheduled to begin on Friday, June 19, in Viareggio, with Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène set to oversee the departure.
