Art Meets Yachting in Monaco: A Creative Collaboration with a Cause

As Monaco gears up for the 33rd edition of the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show, a fresh wave of creativity is about to wash ashore. From September 25 to 27, the Sanlorenzo lounge will host the inaugural "FLOW" exhibition by Polish artist Dominik Drygas, offering an innovative fusion of art and yachting at the heart of the Principality.

The exhibit will feature six original works by Drygas, all inspired by Monaco's rich yachting culture. This exhibition promises to capture the allure of the yachting world from a unique artistic perspective. But beyond the strokes of paint and canvas, the "FLOW" exhibition will serve a greater purpose: supporting the HIV charity FIGHT AIDS MONACO, an organization founded and chaired by H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie.

Dominik Drygas, who has called Monaco home for the past six years, is no stranger to the Principality’s rhythms and traditions. Having fallen in love with what he describes as a "little corner of paradise," Drygas found inspiration in the exceptional maritime world that defines Monaco's cultural and historical landscape.

"Yachting is an integral part of Monaco's heritage," Drygas explains. "We are privileged to be surrounded by some of the world's most prestigious yachts. Through this exhibition, I hope to celebrate that tradition while contributing to a vital cause."

One of the paintings created for the exhibition will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going directly to FIGHT AIDS MONACO. The charity, celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year, continues to combat the stigma faced by people living with HIV. "It’s a source of pride for me to use my art to support such important messages," Drygas shared.

The "FLOW" exhibition will open with a private vernissage on September 25 at the Sanlorenzo lounge near Port Hercule. Guests, invited to view the paintings over cocktails and dinner, will be introduced to Drygas's unique interpretation of yachting life. The exhibit will remain open to the public for the following two days, allowing visitors to the Monaco Yacht Show to experience this artistic tribute firsthand.

The exhibition's host, Sanlorenzo Med, is equally enthusiastic about the collaboration. "It is an honor for us to open our doors to a talented artist and to support a cause as significant as FIGHT AIDS MONACO," says Ferruccio Rossi, CEO of Sanlorenzo Med. “As residents of the Principality, it is our duty to contribute to the community in meaningful ways.”

During the vernissage, guests will also be shown a video highlighting the work of FIGHT AIDS MONACO. The evening’s aim is to raise awareness of the ongoing struggle against the stigmatization of those living with HIV—a mission Princess Stéphanie has championed for over two decades.

"This exhibition is a valuable opportunity to highlight H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie’s tireless efforts in supporting vulnerable populations," says Christophe Glasser, director of FIGHT AIDS MONACO. "Thanks to Dominik Drygas’s initiative, we have the chance to engage a new audience and gather vital support for our projects."

With its blend of high art, yachting culture, and charitable spirit, the "FLOW" exhibition is set to be one of the Monaco Yacht Show’s most compelling events. As the Principality plays host to international yacht enthusiasts, it also serves as a stage for a larger message—that solidarity and creativity can come together to make a difference.

Art and yachting enthusiasts alike are invited to visit the Sanlorenzo lounge from September 25 to 27 to experience Dominik Drygas's "FLOW" exhibition and support a cause that has touched many lives.
