The Association Sportive de Monaco Omnisports (ASM Omnisports), founded in 1924, is proudly celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The organization, which includes 4,615 members across 23 different sports sections, is marking this milestone with a series of special events and commemorations. "ASM is seen as a large family within the Principality of Monaco. This spirit is reflected in our centennial logo and celebrations. Our main goals are to promote sports values, represent national pride, and continue the rich history of Monegasque sports, which is closely tied to the history of the Principality," said Louis Biancheri, President of ASM Omnisports, in a press release.
On June 22, 2024, a grand sports festival will take place in Monaco, starting at 11 AM on Quai Albert Ier. The event, supported by the Mayor of Monaco, will feature Olympiads, various demonstrations, sports initiations, and activities, all culminating in a concert by Bigflo & Oli at 9 PM. A special commemorative stamp, designed by Thierry Mordant and produced in a limited edition of 35,000 copies, will be available for purchase at €4 each. This stamp features the 23 sports disciplines of ASM Omnisports and the centennial logo.
In addition, a limited edition book will be published by the end of 2024. Only 500 copies of this book will be printed, offering a retrospective of all the sports sections of ASM Omnisports and highlighting the young athletes who represent the future of the club.
