A delicate artistic dialogue is taking shape under the open sky. Tonight at Monaco’s Fort Antoine, actors Vincent Dedienne and Camille Chamoux present "8 soirs par semaine" ("8 Nights a Week"), an intimate musical reading that offers an unflinching look at the emotional mechanics of life on the road.
The performance originated during a grueling touring schedule across western France, where both artists found themselves navigating eight solo dates in just seven days. Having connected during the filming of Jonathan Cohen’s comedy series La Flamme, Dedienne and Chamoux began a daily correspondence to process the isolation, fatigue, and quiet melancholy inherent to solo performance.
Conceived by Dedienne and produced by the Théâtre de Lorient, the resulting text blends sharp humor with candid vulnerability. Joining them on stage, musician and actress Léopoldine HH provides a live soundtrack featuring adapted works by the late French singer-songwriter Anne Sylvestre.
By bringing their shared correspondence to the historic amphitheater of Fort Antoine, the trio offers a poignant reflection on theatrical decentralization and the lasting bond between performer and public.
