Named “Best Bank In Monaco 2022” for the sixth consecutive year by Global Finance magazine, CFM Indosuez Wealth Management celebrated its 100th anniversary in the presence of Prince Albert at the Oceanographic Museum.
To symbolize the bank’s commitment to the protection of the ocean and blue finance, an exception rooftop dinner with a breathtaking view of Monaco was organized on Tuesday, June 7 at Oceanographic Museum. Since 2020, CFM Indosuez has worked alongside the Oceanographic Institute to “promote awareness, love for and protection of the oceans” and an original and innovative show was presented on the theme of the sea.
Each guest was presented with a personalized bracelet containing GPS coordinates for a coral sponsored on their behalf by the bank. This donation symbolizes the ambition of CFM Indosuez, its clients, employees and partners to contribute together to a more responsible world.
The evening took place in the presence of Prince Albert, who made a speech underlining the role of CFM Indosuez in the economic development of the Principality over the past 100 years, as well as the bank’s commitment to sustainable development and responsible finance for over 20 years.
The presence of representatives of the Monegasque government and institutions at the celebration highlighted the importance to the Principality of a solid bank, with international influence while maintaining its local roots. When the bank opened its doors in 1922, it had been created by prominent Monegasque families, some of whom still hold nearly 30% of the bank’s share capital. Today there are five branches in Monaco.
The bank, which has Monaco’s biggest trading floor and is the country’s leading commercial bank, has demonstrated commitment to corporate social responsibility by offering responsible investment solutions to clients since the launch of the first Monegasque fund on this theme in 2002. It has limited its corporate environmental footprint, by the support of local charities with the participation of the bank’s employees in Citizen Days, and by favoring partners who are themselves committed to sustainable development and the protection of the oceans.
Indosuez Wealth Management is the global wealth management brand of Crédit Agricole Group, the world’s 10th largest bank by balance sheet according to The Banker in 2021. As of 31/12/2021, Indosuez Wealth Management had €135 billion in assets under management.
