The Cannes Yachting Festival 2025 closed on a triumphant note, cementing its reputation as Europe’s premier in-water boat show. From September 9 to 14, the Bay of Cannes became the global stage for nautical excellence, attracting an unprecedented 56,000 visitors eager to explore the latest in marine innovation, luxury design, and sustainable technologies.
This 48th edition was historic not only for its record attendance but also for the sheer scale of its offering: 711 boats on display (+1.5% compared to 2024), 677 exhibitors (+5.8%), and an impressive 147 world premieres (+22.5%). The figures underscored the vitality of the international yachting industry, proving it is navigating confidently toward the future.
Innovation at the Helm
One of the festival’s highlights was the second edition of the “Route de l’Innovation,” which continues to spotlight the sector’s ecological transformation. From 120 applications, 42 projects were selected, offering a glimpse of the industry’s sustainable future. Among the winners, SEA.AI’s Watchkeeper stood out for enhancing navigation safety, while MODX Catamarans’ Modx 70 showcased pioneering green technologies. The Jury’s Special Prize went to Benetti Yachts’ B.Yond 37M, a nod to its bold approach to innovation and luxury.
A Leadership Transition
The 2025 edition also marked the end of an era, as long-time director Sylvie Ernoult bid farewell. Describing this year’s event as “one of the most ambitious and successful,” she handed over the helm to Constance Brément. With extensive experience in yachting and the luxury sector, Brément’s mission is to build on this legacy, promising to deliver ever more innovative and memorable editions.
Looking Ahead
The split between the Old Port and Port Canto, enhanced by efficient maritime shuttles, ensured a seamless visitor experience. The Power Boat Marina, inaugurated in 2024, expanded significantly, hosting 180 boats across nearly 3,000 m².
With the date already set for 2026, the festival continues to chart the course for the future of Mediterranean luxury yachting.
