The unique, century-long connection uniting the Principality of Monaco and automotive history is the focus of a major summer retrospective. The Automobile Club de Monaco has partnered with the Grimaldi Forum Monaco to launch “Monaco and the Automobile, from 1893 to the Present Day”. Spanning roughly 4,000 square meters in the venue's Espace Ravel, the comprehensive exhibition runs through September 6, 2026.
Originally scheduled for 2020 and subsequently postponed due to the pandemic, the exhibition marks the first time an archive of this scale has been assembled within the state. Under the direction of curator Rodolphe Rapetti, the presentation brings together over fifty legendary and authentic vehicles sourced from collections across Europe.

The curated roster features more than twenty historic cars that secured victories on the demanding tracks of the Monaco Grand Prix or the Monte-Carlo Rally. Displayed alongside these competitive machines are rare, previously unseen archival documents, photographs, and personal vehicles belonging to the Princely Family. Together, the collection frames the automobile not merely as a sporting tool, but as an enduring cultural symbol of the Principality.
The exhibition is open daily to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with extended hours on Thursday evenings.
