In a direct demonstration of cross-border municipal cooperation and social engagement, local leaders from Monaco and the neighboring French commune of Beausoleil gathered on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, for a collaborative community event at Les Petites Cantines, located in the Village Charlot sector of Beausoleil. The gathering brought together six registered members of Monaco's Espace Lamartine - a prominent communal and socio-cultural hub managed by the Municipality of Monaco - who traveled alongside their accompanying support staff to participate in a shared culinary initiative.
The day’s activities focused on the collaborative preparation and subsequent sharing of a community luncheon. The delegation worked alongside Georges Marsan, the Mayor of Monaco, and Gérard Spinelli, the Mayor of Beausoleil, as well as elected municipal officials representing both communes and several local volunteers.

Les Petites Cantines operates as a non-profit network of neighborhood kitchens designed to foster civic participation and counter social isolation by inviting ordinary citizens to co-cook and dine together in an environment underpinned by mutual aid, inclusivity, and solidarity. Municipal coordinators noted that the joint cross-border lunch successfully illustrated the foundational values of community integration and social connection championed by both local administrations.
