Diplomatic Ties and Local Synergy: Monaco Welcomes AIMF General Delegate in Courtesy Visit

In a continuing effort to deepen international cooperation among French-speaking local authorities, Mayor Georges Marsan of Monaco and Isabelle Costa, Secretary General of the Mairie de Monaco, received Frédéric Vallier, General Delegate of the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF), during a courtesy visit on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026.

The high-level engagement served as a platform for officials to evaluate and expand existing relations between the Principality and the broader Francophone municipal network. Discussions centered on identifying new avenues for collaboration, reinforcing operational synergies, and supporting field projects spearheaded by the AIMF across its member territories.

As global urban centers increasingly look toward transnational municipal diplomacy to address shared challenges, the dialogue in Monaco highlights the Principality's ongoing commitment to fostering cooperative initiatives within the international Francophone community.
