Three introductory diving sessions will take place during the summer, organized by the Monaco City Hall. The first edition, held on Wednesday, July 10, was a resounding success.
With the support of instructors from the Club d’Exploration Sous-Marine de Monaco (C.E.S.M.M), both adults and children (ages 8 and up) experienced their first dive in a pool setting.
"A baptism dive lasts between 10 and 15 minutes, involving a round trip, with the depth adjusted to suit the participant. Children stay near the surface, while confident adults can dive to the pool’s bottom. For those less comfortable, we stay at mid-depth," explained Jacques Pastor, Deputy Mayor in charge of sports, to Monaco Info.
The next sessions are scheduled for August 19 and September 4, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. These sessions are open to everyone, including those with mobility impairments. To book this unique and completely free experience, simply visit Stade Nautique Rainier III in person.
