As the Principality observes the 70th anniversary of the historic union between Prince Rainier III and Hollywood actress Grace Kelly, localized civic institutions are expanding public access to the celebratory archives. In coordination with the primary exhibition, "Le Mariage du Siècle" (The Wedding of the Century) - which is on display at the Prince's Palace through September 25, 2026 - the Monaco Town Hall (Mairie de Monaco) has installed a targeted historical display within its central lobby.
The civic installation features four curated archival photographs specifically documenting the municipal reception hosted by the Town Hall for Monégasque citizens and local residents in the palace's Cour d’Honneur during the 1956 nuptials. Mayor Georges Marsan, accompanied by members of the Communal Council, formally viewed the exhibition at the municipal headquarters, framing the display as an essential structural bridge to a transformative moment in modern Monégasque history.

By showcasing these intimate communal interactions alongside the broader palace retrospective, local officials aim to highlight the civic cohesion and domestic governance that anchored the global media phenomenon seven decades ago.
