Electric Powerboats to Trace Monaco’s Coastline as E1 Series Returns

The historic waters of the French Riviera will serve as the backdrop for a modern display of marine motorsport next month as the E1 Monaco powerboat race returns to the Principality. Scheduled for July 17 and July 18, 2026, the two-day event attempts to merge the traditional grandeur of the Monégasque coast with the mechanical evolution of sustainable water sports.

Organized by the E1 Series, the competitive weekend represents a calculated expansion into all-electric marine technology. The event pits standard-issue electric powerboats against the unpredictable currents of Monaco's central harbor, providing a stark contrast to the vintage vessels traditionally associated with the local shoreline. According to the organizers, the initiative is designed to appeal equally to long-standing heritage enthusiasts and proponents of zero-emission racing technologies.

The logistical framework of the competition divides the weekend into distinct operational windows. On Friday, July 17, the official site is scheduled to open at 12:00, initiating a series of preliminary trials and qualifications before closing operations at 18:00.

The competitive stakes accelerate on Saturday, July 18. The racing site will reopen at 12:00, giving way to the primary racing heats and final matches. The sports program concludes in the late afternoon, with the official podium and award ceremony slated for 17:30. The entire venue will cease operations and close at 18:00.

To maintain engagement with its growing international audience, the E1 Series has established a digital registration system, allowing fans and prospective attendees to receive direct updates and logistical itineraries regarding future racing schedules.
