Emirates airline has reached a major achievement, welcoming over three million passengers on its Nice-Dubai route since its launch in 1994. This milestone was celebrated in style with a special reception at Nice Côte d'Azur airport, marking the significance of the connection between the French Riviera and the United Arab Emirates.
To commemorate this accomplishment, Emirates honored its three-millionth passenger with a special gift of two return economy class tickets. The check-in area was beautifully decorated with floral arrangements, creating a festive atmosphere, while a custom-designed archway and a giant boarding pass added to the celebratory mood.
The daily A380 flight currently connecting Nice with Dubai offers a luxurious travel experience, featuring 14 private First Class suites, 76 Business Class seat-beds, and 427 Economy Class seats. This route provides travelers from the Côte d’Azur access to over 140 destinations around the globe, including sought-after spots like Sydney, Bali, Mauritius, and the Maldives.
Emirates’ contribution extends beyond passenger service, as its cargo division, Emirates SkyCargo, has played a key role in the region’s economy. Over the past six years, SkyCargo has transported more than 26,000 tonnes of goods, including perfume, car parts, and flavoring products.
Cédric Renard, Managing Director of Emirates in France, emphasized the importance of this route as a key gateway for the airline within its global network. Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur, also celebrated the milestone, calling it a reflection of the strong ties between Nice and Dubai.
