Festive Season at Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo

This winter, Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo transforms into a world of poetic wonder, unveiling an “enchanted library” that turns the Belle Époque palace into a festive fairytale. Inspired by childhood memories, stories, and winter magic, the hotel invites guests to step into a dreamscape where every corner feels like the beginning of a new chapter.

Designed by artistic director Perrine Guyonnet (MissRose), the décor blends deep Bordeaux hues, delicate sky-blue accents, and elegant woodwork. Upon entering the Lobby, guests are greeted by a majestic tree adorned with golden books and ribbons, candlelit scenes, and floral arrangements that echo winter tales. In the Salon des Princes, a magnificent indoor garden glows with fir foliage, shimmering candles, and refined ornaments — a nod to old-world libraries and the elegance of the hotel’s Belle Époque heritage.

A Celebration of Chocolate

This season also marks the return of Chocolate Time, a gourmet ritual imagined by Executive Chef Christophe Cussac, Pastry Chef Patrick Mesiano, and Head Bartender Mickaël Bellec. The menu reads like a love letter to cocoa: velvety chocolate fondue, the brioché crème brûlée studded with chocolate, a Guanaja chocolate finger, and the airy Chocolate Soufflé Tart with praline. These indulgences pair with Bellec’s signature cocktails, from the whisky-based Noir Intense to the Cascade Chocolatée and the spiced Choco-Délice mocktail. The hotel’s chocolate bar becomes a sensory journey — rich, elegant, and irresistibly festive.

A Gourmet Ode to Guerlain

For the holiday season, Patrick Mesiano unveils a show-stopping creation: the Bûche Guerlain. Inspired by the legendary Bee Bottle — designed in 1853 for Empress Eugénie — the sculpted dessert echoes the golden tiles and imperial bees of the original flacon. Beneath its chocolate-and-gold shell lies a refined combination of candied citrus, honey-Tonka cream, vanilla mousse, and Dulcey chocolate.

Magical Moments for Families

Children are invited into a world of imagination with creative workshops held on 24 and 31 December. Young guests can craft bookmarks, create miniature Christmas ornaments, and end the afternoon with a festive goûter. And on Christmas Eve, Father Christmas himself will appear in the Lobby Bar.

For Christmas and New Year’s Eve, Chef Cussac presents exceptional Mediterranean holiday menus, while the Spa Métropole by Guerlain offers serene escapes. In the evenings, the Lobby Bar comes alive with jazz, blues, and soul, completing the hotel’s spellbinding festive atmosphere.
