The Oceanographic Museum of Monaco has opened the remaining registration slots for its summer youth educational initiative, Club Oceano, as the institution prepares for its final schedule of workshops running through late August and early September.
The weeklong immersion programs, tailored for children in age brackets covering 6 to 8 and 9 to 12 years old, integrate practical scientific experiments, creative workshops, behind-the-scenes access to the facility, and direct instruction led by the museum’s science communication team.
The late-summer curriculum features three distinct thematic focus areas across consecutive weeks. Beginning August 17 through August 21, the "Polar Explorers" session will examine high-latitude ecosystems, emblematic polar fauna, and the functional role these regions play in maintaining global climate stability.
The following week, from August 24 through August 28, the "Mediterranean Expedition" will focus on local marine environments, introducing participants to native species and current regional preservation efforts. The summer programming concludes with the "At the Heart of Coral Reefs" track from August 31 through September 4, which explores tropical marine biodiversity, coral biology, and practical protection strategies.
