FORTE DEI MARMI, Italy - On the evening of August 2, the shoreline of Alpemare Beach became the setting for a summer gala that merged live music, coastal atmosphere, and curated hospitality. The event, produced by the creative agency WONDERMAKER Inc., featured a headlining performance by British pop singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, whose appearance brought a wave of early-2000s pop charm and high energy to the Tuscan coast.
Set against the backdrop of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the evening unfolded as a seamless blend of music and setting. Ellis-Bextor, best known for hits such as Murder on the Dancefloor, delivered a full live set that connected her longstanding discography with the present-day mood of the beachside venue.
Alpemare, once a quiet stretch of beach in Forte dei Marmi, has in recent years become a locus of curated cultural programming. This gala was no exception. Attendees moved between designed dining experience and the open-air stage, as the rhythm of the sea played against the pulse of the music.
As the night progressed, the event shifted into its second act. DJ Nefertiti, a rising figure in the European electronic scene and resident of Baies Club in Courchevel, took over the soundscape. Her set extended the evening's momentum, maintaining the dancefloor until well past midnight.
The evening marked a broader direction for Alpemare - one where traditional beachside hospitality meets contemporary live performance. That approach will continue on August 9, when the venue hosts Live Urgant, a genre-blending stage show created by television host Ivan Urgant. The program will combine live music and comedy, with appearances by Ekaterina Varnava, Alexander Gudkov, and the band Frukty.
On August 2, the gala in Forte dei Marmi - set to the voice of Sophie Ellis-Bextor - offered a scene as timeless as the coastline itself: luminous, fleeting, and carefully composed.
