The latest Top Marques Monaco show, lauded as the most successful to date, showcased hundreds of exotic cars renowned for their speed and impressive sound. In anticipation of potential disruptions, the Prince’s Government mobilized the Principality’s police to vigilantly monitor vehicles that could significantly disturb public order.
During the five-day event, law enforcement recorded 168 infractions. Among these, 44 violations led to vehicle immobilization for 120 hours. Specifically, 31 fines were issued for reckless driving, while 13 were for excessive speed. Despite these figures, the number of vehicles impounded decreased from the 64 seizures in 2023.
The remaining 124 infractions, which did not result in vehicle impoundment, included offenses such as unnecessary noise, excessive speed, use of a mobile phone while driving, and failure to comply with roundabout directions.
While the Top Marques show itself is not accountable for dangerous driving in Monaco, it undoubtedly attracts the crème de la crème of the luxury automotive world, drawing thousands of enthusiasts. The 19th edition of the show, held from June 5 to June 9, featured over 200 exhibitors and welcomed 29,000 visitors to the Grimaldi Forum.
