In a renewed effort to reduce waste and promote eco-conscious living, Monaco’s City Hall is set to revive its popular “Adopt a Plant” event at Princess Antoinette Park. On Wednesday, 13th November, over 150 plants will find new homes in the community, encouraging residents to embrace sustainable practices.
The initiative, launched in 2022, has already distributed more than 1,000 plants across Monaco, breathing new life into seasonal blooms while fostering environmental awareness. This year’s event kicks off at 12:30 pm near the park’s birthday room, offering residents a chance to adopt various plants, including geraniums, sage, iris, begonias, coleus, phormiums, and canas.
Participants will also benefit from the expertise of local gardeners, who will be present to provide tips on planting and maintenance. The goal is to ensure these plants thrive while supporting Monaco’s drive to reduce waste through creative recycling.
