The Grimaldi Forum has reported an impressive turnout of 65,000 visitors for its summer exhibition, *Turner: The Sublime Legacy*, marking it as one of the venue's most successful displays in recent history. This collaboration with the Tate Gallery showcased the ethereal beauty and dramatic seascapes of renowned British artist J.M.W. Turner, featuring 80 of his masterpieces on canvas and paper.
Visitors were immersed in an exploration of Turner's influence, which extended to a host of contemporary artists including John Akomfrah, Edward Burtynsky, and Olafur Eliasson, among others. The exhibition occupied over 2,000 square meters of the iconic Monaco venue, allowing art enthusiasts to appreciate both classic and modern interpretations of Turner's legacy.
Francesco Grosoli, CEO of CMB Monaco, an official partner of the Grimaldi Forum, praised the exhibition's high caliber. “This was a rare opportunity to see Turner's works outside of London, alongside significant contemporary pieces,” he noted, commending the exceptional quality of the exhibition and the expertise of the Grimaldi Forum’s management under Sylvie Biancheri.
While the *Turner* exhibition did not surpass last year's record-breaking *Monet en Pleine Lumière*, which attracted 120,000 visitors, it stands out as the sixth most successful show in nearly 25 years. Biancheri expressed satisfaction with the results, emphasizing that the exhibition's originality and quality resonated well with attendees.
Looking ahead, the Grimaldi Forum team is already in the midst of planning its 2025 summer exhibition, *Couleurs ! Les chefs d’œuvre du Centre Pompidou*, alongside celebrations for the venue’s 25th anniversary.
