As November 19th approaches, Monaco is awash in its signature red and white hues, marking the grand celebration of National Day 2024. This cherished occasion, a highlight on the Principality's calendar, sees the entire country united under its proud colors, with the Municipality of Monaco taking the lead in transforming the city into a vibrant spectacle.
Since November 4th, the dedicated teams from the Events Division of the Municipal Technical Services have been tirelessly preparing for the big day. Working in synchronized day and night shifts, they ensure every neighborhood is adorned with Monegasque pride. By day, manual installations are carried out using ladders, while night teams utilize aerial platforms to reach more challenging spots.
A Stunning Display Across the Principality
This year’s celebration brings an impressive display of 600 flags, 550 banners, and 90 pavilions, strategically placed across Monaco’s neighborhoods. Over 150 installations have been planned, creating a visual masterpiece that pays homage to the country’s heritage.
What makes this year extra special is the addition of new decorative spots. Boulevard de Belgique and the roundabout in front of Princesse Antoinette Park now shine in red and white, joining other iconic locations such as Avenue Lazare Sauvaigo and the Honoré II Promenade near Monte-Carlo Bay. These fresh touches further enhance the festive atmosphere, ensuring residents and visitors alike feel the spirit of Monaco National Day in every corner of the city.
A Heartfelt Celebration
National Day, also known as Prince’s Day, is a time for the Monegasque community to come together and celebrate their unity, culture, and traditions. From dazzling decorations to heartfelt gatherings, the day highlights Monaco's deep sense of pride and identity.
As the Principality basks in its red-and-white glow, we join in congratulating Monaco on its National Day 2024. Here’s to another year of prosperity, unity, and unforgettable celebrations under the Mediterranean sun.
