The Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo has added another accolade to its storied legacy, earning the 36th spot in The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025 ranking, announced Thursday evening at a ceremony in London. Now in its third edition, the annual event celebrates the finest destinations in global hospitality, bringing together leading figures from luxury travel and tourism.
Louis Starck, the recently appointed General Manager of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, attended the ceremony alongside Hotel Manager Vincent Chasseignaux. For the historic Monte-Carlo palace, this recognition crowns a year marked by continued excellence - having recently renewed its coveted Three Michelin Keys and maintained its reputation for impeccable service, gastronomic distinction, and timeless elegance.
“The Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo is immensely proud to receive this honor,” said Mr. Starck. “It highlights the exceptional offering of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and the enduring legacy of our hotel. For over 160 years, our teams have worked passionately to create unforgettable experiences for every guest.”
Founded in 1864, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo remains the jewel of Monaco’s legendary Place du Casino, envisioned by François Blanc as “a hotel that surpasses all that has been created before.” Today, that vision endures. The Belle Époque landmark harmoniously blends heritage and innovation - home to Alain Ducasse’s three-Michelin-starred Le Louis XV, the panoramic Le Grill, and the creative pastry artistry of Cédric Grolet Monte-Carlo, which opened its boutique and tea room this past summer.
Following an extensive six-year renovation completed in 2020, the hotel has redefined luxury hospitality with its Diamond Suites - the Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace suites - each offering sweeping views of the Principality. Beneath the hotel, the historic wine cellars, established in 1874 by Marie Blanc, safeguard over 350,000 exceptional bottles, including a rare collection of priceless vintages.
Throughout its history, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo has welcomed royalty, artists, and statesmen - from the Prince of Wales (later Edward VII) to Maria Callas, Salvador Dalí, and Winston Churchill. Its enduring appeal lies not only in its grandeur but in its unwavering pursuit of excellence.
By securing its place among the World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo reaffirms its standing as a global symbol of refinement, craftsmanship, and the timeless art of hospitality.
