In the realm of luxury hospitality, few addresses carry the weight and allure of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo. This week, that reputation was reaffirmed at the 2025 Michelin Keys Ceremony in Paris - the first global event of its kind - where the historic Monaco palace retains the maximum distinction: three Michelin Keys.
First introduced in 2024, Michelin’s hotel ranking system seeks to elevate the world’s most exceptional stays, just as its iconic stars have long done for restaurants. The keys are judged across five stringent pillars: architectural and interior excellence, service consistency, hotel personality, value for money, and the property’s broader contribution to its setting.
For the second consecutive year, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo stands alone in Monaco in achieving this highest honor. It is one of only 24 hotels across France and Monaco to do so this year - a striking reminder of its singular place in European hospitality.
The Michelin Guide praised the hotel as "the pinnacle of comfort and service, style and elegance," calling it "a destination in its own right" and "one of the most extraordinary hotels in the world."

Stéphane Valeri, President-Delegate of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, which owns the property, hailed the renewed recognition as a tribute to both the hotel’s legacy and the excellence of its staff, now under the direction of Louis Starck. “These three Michelin Keys reflect the values we uphold in terms of luxury and excellence,” he stated.
This distinction is not simply ceremonial. It affirms Monaco’s continuing role as a beacon of refined living, and the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo as one of its brightest lights.
