In Monte-Carlo’s glittering core, where the Mediterranean meets Casino Square, the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo reigns as a bastion of luxury. This five-star Belle Époque icon, built in 1886 and reimagined by Jacques Garcia in 2004, blends timeless elegance with modern sophistication. As Monaco celebrates its 2025 title as Europe’s Best Destination, voted by over one million travelers, the Métropole’s four restaurants elevate the Principality’s global allure.
For 2025, the hotel unveils Garcia-redesigned rooms in August, featuring airy aesthetics and plush textures. The Spa Métropole by Guerlain, opening in July, offers bespoke treatments like the Monaco Glow, paired with a heated seawater pool and Karl Lagerfeld’s Odyssey area, a seasonal retreat shifting from winter haven to summer oasis.

The culinary scene, led by Executive Chef Christophe Cussac, a Joël Robuchon protégé, defines the Métropole’s 2025 season. Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac, with two Michelin stars reaffirmed in March 2025, serves Mediterranean dishes like Sicilian branzino in a 1920s-inspired space with an open kitchen.

Yoshi, the Côte d’Azur’s only Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant, delivers black cod and sushi in a sleek setting by Le Parc Spélugues. Odyssey hosts ZIA, a pop-up from May 3 to October 31, with chefs Manon Santini and Rocco Seminara crafting Italian fare like truffle pizzas. Its wellness menu, open nightly from 7:30 p.m., includes quinoa kale with feta. The Lobby Bar, a Garcia-designed lounge, serves Pink Kiss cocktails amid Picasso and Warhol art.
Service shines, with staff offering complimentary wine and Casino passes. With 125 rooms starting at €650 per night and 64% occupancy in Q1 2025, per Monaco’s tourism board, the Métropole remains a magnet for the elite. In 2025, it stands as Monaco’s culinary and cultural beacon, where every dish tells the Principality’s story of elegance and ambition.
