Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo: a Vibrant Spring/Summer 2025 Season

Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo is all set to enchant audiences both locally and internationally with a diverse array of performances throughout spring and summer 2025. From compelling classical pieces to avant-garde works, the season promises an exciting blend of tradition and innovation.

The spring performances will commence at the Grimaldi Forum from April 23rd to 27th, featuring a captivating mix of ballets. Highlights include the emotionally charged Wartime Elegy by Alexei Ratmansky, a poignant tribute to the resilience of the Ukrainian people, and the world premiere of Marco Goecke’s Transfigured Night. The latter, set to Arnold Schoenberg’s evocative score, explores the complexities of human emotions through Goecke’s signature expressive choreography. Additionally, the renowned *The Four Temperaments* by George Balanchine, with its exploration of human nature, will round out the spring program. The Orchestra Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo will accompany the performances, bringing the visual and musical elements together for a spectacular experience.

The summer schedule begins with the Académie Princesse Grace Gala on June 20th and 21st at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo. This event offers a platform for the next generation of dancers, with a mix of classical and contemporary pieces. For some, it will mark their first public performance, while others will bid farewell as they embark on new professional journeys.

Later in July, the company will showcase two new works at the Salle Garnier. Timulak, choreographed by former dancer Lukáš Timulak, will explore the beauty of nature through ever-evolving movements, while the contemporary duo Kor’sia will present a dynamic piece focusing on the body’s expressive capabilities.

Internationally, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo will take their renowned Roméo et Juliette to Zurich and Valencia, offering global audiences the chance to experience the company’s exceptional artistry.

Tickets for Monaco performances are available on the official website.
