Maona Monte-Carlo: Where Mykonos Comes to Monaco

This summer, Monaco gets a taste of Mykonos with Maona Monte-Carlo — a lively new spot that blends Mediterranean flavors, music, and the kind of easygoing fun that makes you forget what time it is. It’s the place where a long lunch can turn into an afternoon of cocktails, and where the sound of a DJ set drifts over the terrace while the sea sparkles just beyond.

Lunch That Lingers

At Maona, lunch isn’t a quick bite. It’s an excuse to slow down. The sun hits the terrace just right, conversations flow, and the music — sometimes laid-back, sometimes a little more upbeat — keeps you there longer than you planned. And if you’re here on Thursday, expect something special: a guest DJ turning the energy up a notch and the evening into a party.

On the Table

Chef Erwan Miziane’s menu moves easily between Monaco and the Greek islands. There’s fresh fish brought in daily, grilled or baked until it’s perfectly tender. Classics like tzatziki, lamb souvlaki, and dolmadakias taste like they’ve come straight from a family kitchen in the Aegean, but with a local twist. The seafood orzo is rich and comforting, the Greek salad crisp and bright.

And then there are the cocktails — fresh, colorful, and dangerously drinkable. To set the tone, they’ll even welcome you with a shot, just to get you into the spirit of the place.

The Vibe

Whitewashed walls, an open terrace, music in the background, glasses clinking — it’s a place that feels alive. You can be here for a leisurely lunch, a round of drinks with friends, or a full day of dancing after lunch. However you do it, Maona is less about sticking to a plan and more about letting the day take you where it wants.

Why Go

Because it’s fun. Because the food is fresh and the music is good. Because you might come for lunch and end up staying until the DJ plays their last track. And because in a city known for its glamour, Maona finds a way to make it feel warm, relaxed, and just a little bit wild — exactly like summer should be.
