For the first time in its 120-year history, the prestigious Michelin Guide ceremony will take place outside France—and Monaco has been chosen as the stage for this landmark event. On 16 March 2026, the Principality will welcome the unveiling of the Michelin Guide France & Monaco selection at the Grimaldi Forum.
The ceremony, organised in partnership with the Monaco Government and the Société des Bains de Mer, will reveal the new roster of Michelin-starred restaurants, along with the winners of special awards that celebrate service, sustainability, and emerging talent. The gathering promises to bring together the culinary world’s most celebrated chefs, professionals, and media, while being streamed live across Michelin’s global platforms.
A Historic Bond
Monaco’s relationship with the Michelin Guide stretches back to 1900, when the Principality appeared in the very first edition. Today, it remains one of the world’s most extraordinary gastronomic destinations. Within just two square kilometres, Monaco boasts eight Michelin-starred restaurants with a total of 13 stars, making it the state with the highest concentration of Michelin stars worldwide.
Where Stars Shine Bright
Currently, Monaco’s culinary crown includes one three-star restaurant—Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo—alongside three two-starred gems (Les Ambassadeurs, Le Blue Bay, L’Abysse Monte-Carlo) and four one-star establishments (Elsa, La Table d’Antonio Salvatore at Rampoldi, Le Grill, Pavyllon).
By choosing Monaco, the Michelin Guide not only honours a destination of historic significance but also underlines its international influence and enduring excellence in gastronomy. With its extraordinary concentration of culinary talent, the Principality is set to shine brighter than ever when the stars are unveiled in March 2026.
