Monaco Bids a Festive Farewell to Its Beloved Market Hall

On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, the Mairie de Monaco will host a convivial evening event at the Marché de la Condamine, titled “À se revède” - a playful Monegasque farewell meaning “see you soon.” The gathering, open to all residents and visitors, marks a celebratory send-off ahead of the temporary closure of the market's interior hall for major renovations.

The event, scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., will feature a DJ, a dedicated dance area, and on-site dining options. Entry is free, with food and beverages available for purchase, in keeping with the market's warm, communal spirit.

This soirée comes as the historic Halle de la Condamine prepares for a 13-month modernization project set to begin in mid-January 2026. The renovations, aimed at enhancing infrastructure while preserving the site's popular character, will see merchants relocated to temporary kiosks on the adjacent Place d’Armes to ensure uninterrupted activity.

The Marché de la Condamine, a cornerstone of daily life in the Principality for over 140 years, remains a vibrant hub of local commerce and social interaction.
