On October 10, 2025, Prince Albert II hosted a gathering at the Palais de Carnolès in Menton to mark the 10th anniversary of the Grimaldi Historical Sites network, welcoming representatives from France and Italy. The event, attended by Jean-Claude Guibal, deputy-mayor of Menton, underscored a decade-long commitment to preserving the shared history and heritage between Monaco, France, and Italy.
The initiative, officially launched on July 10, 2015, reflects the Prince’s vision to breathe life into history, linking the regions through a network that now spans sites in Calabria, Alsace, Champagne, Picardy, Normandy, Auvergne, Piedmont, and Puglia. Over the past decade, this effort has grown significantly: it evolved into an association in 2018, gained Italian membership in 2020, and established a Monegasque federation under the Sovereign’s leadership in 2022, now uniting over 150 collectives.

This milestone celebration highlights a movement to expand the network’s influence, fostering collaboration across borders and reinforcing the cultural ties that bind these regions.
