On June 27 and 28, 2025, Monaco will shine on the international stage as it marks its National Day with a series of prestigious events in Japan. The celebrations, held under the patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, underscore Monaco’s commitment to humanitarianism, artistic excellence, and global cooperation.
The festivities begin on Friday, June 27, in Osaka with a gala match titled "United through Legends," pitting the Monaco Barbarians—led by President Louis Ducruet—against the Japan All Star Team. Hosted at the Panasonic Stadium Suita under the high patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, the event will support Fight Aids Monaco, with proceeds benefiting this cause and several Japanese charitable organizations, championed by Princess Stéphanie.
The following day, June 28, Monaco’s official delegation, led by Prince Albert II, will participate in a ceremonial program at the Expo 2025 Osaka. The morning will feature the raising of the Monaco and Japanese flags, national anthems, and speeches by government representatives, accompanied by musical performances from the Prince’s Carabinier Orchestra. A formal lunch at the Maison d’Hôte will follow, with the afternoon dedicated to exploring the Japanese and Monégasque pavilions, alongside those of Saudi Arabia and France.
Highlights of the day include a concert by the Prince’s Carabinier Orchestra, a performance by the Monte-Carlo Ballet, and a showcase by the Princess Grace Dance Academy at the Expo Hall. These events reflect Monaco’s rich cultural heritage and its enduring international partnerships.
As Monaco’s National Day unfolds, it will illuminate the values of humanitarian engagement and artistic prestige that define the Principality, reinforcing its global influence.
