On the evening of Monday, June 1, the Mairie de Monaco hosted its traditional reception for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, honoring Monegasque parents who welcomed their first child between May 1, 2025, and April 30, 2026.
The ceremony, held in the institution’s Cour d’Honneur, served as a formal acknowledgment of the principality’s growing families. Approximately 20 families attended the event, where they were received by Mayor Georges Marsan, alongside Deputy Mayors Marjorie Crovetto, Jacques Pastor, and Karyn Ardisson Salopek. Municipal Councilors Nada Lorenzi, Nathalie Vacarezza, and Georges Gambarini were also in attendance to mark the occasion.
Beyond the ceremonial recognition, the Mairie de Monaco reaffirmed its commitment to supporting local families through its childcare infrastructure. The city currently operates a network of 13 facilities, providing nearly 400 cribs. This capacity is set to expand this September with the opening of the “IDA” nursery, located within the Héméra residence, which will add 30 additional places.

The event concluded with a reception allowing families and elected officials to engage in conversation. As a keepsake, each family received a personalized gift: a bath cape embroidered with the phrase, “Min, sun de Mùnegu!” - meaning “Me, I am from Monaco!” in the Monégasque language.
