Monaco Commemorates Armistice of 1918 with Tribute to World War I Veterans

On Tuesday, Nov. 11, the Principality of Monaco paid solemn homage to the combatants of World War I on the occasion of the Armistice commemoration of Nov. 11, 1918.
The ceremony began in front of the monument dedicated to King Albert I of the Belgians, before continuing at the Monument to the Fallen in the Monaco Cemetery. Wreaths were laid, followed by the ringing of “Aux Morts,” a minute of silence and the performance of national anthems by the Municipal Music.
The Monaco City Hall was represented by Mayor Georges Marsan, Deputy Jacques Pastor, 4th deputy Jean-Marc Deoriti-Castellini, 7th deputy, and 8th deputy Mme. Karyn Ardisson Salopek.
