The Monaco Economic Board (MEB) advanced the Principality’s international economic engagement this week at the 14th World Chambers Congress, a major gathering of global business leaders and policymakers held in Melbourne from September 2 to 4.
Led by Chief Executive Guillaume Rose, the MEB joined more than 1,200 participants representing over 100 countries in discussions focused on pressing global issues, including ecological transition, the rise of artificial intelligence, and the expanding influence of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The congress, organized by the International Chamber of Commerce, served as a platform for Monaco to expand its network and explore new avenues for international cooperation. Mr. Rose held bilateral meetings with representatives from the Chambers of Commerce of Serbia, Latvia, Qatar, Nigeria, Bahrain, Canada, and Saudi Arabia, reinforcing diplomatic and commercial ties while identifying future opportunities for Monegasque businesses abroad.

“This congress was a unique chance to strengthen our network, spot new opportunities, and prepare ambitious economic missions for the future,” Mr. Rose said in a statement.
The MEB delegation also met with Andrew Cannon, Monaco’s Honorary Consul in Melbourne, and Leanne Steinfort, who both support Monaco’s presence in Australia and promote the work of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation in regional economic and political circles.
