On Tuesday, Oct. 28, a group of budding artists gathered in the Salle A Fabrica at Parc Princesse Antoinette for a hands-on workshop titled “Création d’une BD,” or “Creating a Comic Book.” The free session, open to children ages 8 to 11, introduced participants to the fundamentals of comic strip, encouraged creative storytelling and allowed them to illustrate their own narratives.
Held in a light-filled community space overlooking the park’s seasonal Halloween decorations, the atelier provided pencils, paper and step-by-step guidance from local instructors. No prior drawing experience was required; the emphasis was on imagination and technique rather than polished results.

Similar initiatives have become a staple of Monaco’s municipal calendar, reflecting the principality’s commitment to accessible arts education. By staging the workshop in a public park facility, the city ensured that cost posed no barrier to participation.
