September brings Monaco back to full speed after summer, with a calendar spanning contemporary art, classical music, literature and sport. At the centre of the month is the Monaco Yacht Show, returning to Port Hercule for its 35th edition.
The cultural programme begins on 5 and 6 September with the Monaco International Book Fair at the Grimaldi Forum, followed by art3f from 11 to 13 September. More than 200 artists and galleries are expected at the contemporary art fair. One Monte-Carlo will also host a public discussion on the future of space exploration on 11 September.
Music returns to the Auditorium Rainier III on 13 September, when the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra opens its 2026–2027 season. Bertrand de Billy conducts a French programme featuring Dutilleux and Ravel, with cellist Truls Mørk. On 20 September, 19-year-old Monegasque pianist Stella Almondo performs Liszt at the Grimaldi Forum, while Massenet’s Roma follows on 26 September.
From 23 to 26 September, attention turns firmly to the harbour. The Monaco Yacht Show will gather around 120 superyachts, including 43 delivered in 2026, more than 60 luxury tenders and over 560 exhibitors. Beyond the spectacle on the water, this year’s show continues its focus on design, innovation and more sustainable yachting technologies through the Blue Wake programme.
September is also the final opportunity to catch several exhibitions. The Wedding of the Century, devoted to the 1956 marriage of Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly, remains at the Prince’s Palace until 25 September, while the Grimaldi Forum’s exhibition exploring 130 years of Monaco’s automotive history closes on 6 September.
Sport also returns to Stade Louis II, where AS Monaco faces RC Lens during the weekend of 19 September.
From concert halls to Port Hercule, September marks the beginning of one of Monaco’s busiest periods of the year.
