The Princely Family of Monaco took part in the annual celebration of Saint John’s Day, observing long-standing religious and cultural traditions on Palace Square.

Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II, Princess Charlène, and their children attended the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament at the Palatine Chapel of the Prince’s Palace. The service was led by Archbishop Dominique-Marie David of Monaco.

After the ceremony, the Princely Family joined the public to witness the lighting of the traditional Batafoegu on Palace Square. The fire, which marks the summer solstice, was accompanied by dances performed by the folkloric group La Palladienne de Monaco.

The event drew a large and loyal audience, continuing a tradition that remains part of Monaco’s annual calendar.
