Following the successful conclusion of the annual Fête de la Musique, senior municipal officials in the Principality moved to formally acknowledge the logistical and operational teams behind the public cultural event. On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, Mayor Georges Marsan and Isabelle Costa, the Secretary General of the Mairie de Monaco, traveled to the Espace Léo Ferré to personally commend the staff responsible for the execution of this year’s festivities.
The 2026 edition of the Fête de la Musique was staged across the Esplanade des Pêcheurs, drawing a large public audience for an evening of outdoor musical performances. The event, which serves as a cornerstone of Monaco's public summer cultural programming, requires substantial inter-departmental coordination to manage security, crowd flow, and technical production along the waterfront.
During the reception at the multi-purpose cultural venue, Mayor Marsan highlighted the dedication and professional conduct of the municipal agents involved. He noted that the smooth operation of the event, which maintained a festive and communal atmosphere without incident, was directly attributable to the rigorous preparation of the workforce.

The Fête de la Musique, an international celebration of music originating in France, traditionally marks the summer solstice by offering free concerts to the community. In Monaco, municipal oversight remains central to managing these large-scale public gatherings, with the Espace Léo Ferré serving as the central operational hub for the teams involved.
