A new enclosed sports area for children has opened on the Promenade Honoré II, providing a safe space for football and other ball games in the heart of a residential neighborhood.
The fenced facility, designed with child safety and neighborhood tranquility in mind, is fully netted to prevent stray balls and features shock-absorbing surfacing. It is freely accessible and complies with posted regulations, including a ban on leather balls to reduce noise.
The playground complements an existing children’s play area on the promenade and forms part of the Principality’s effort to expand free outdoor activities for young residents. It joins the CityStade at Quai Antoine Ier, which caters to older children and teenagers, together offering a range of open-access sports options.
Operating hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from November to March, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. from April to October.
The Government of Monaco has pledged to continue developing age-appropriate public amenities to enhance leisure opportunities across the principality.
