Monaco Prepares to Light Up the Summer with Festivities for All

Monaco is preparing to welcome summer with a rich and colourful programme that promises to delight residents, visitors, and families alike. This year, the Town Hall’s 2025 line-up blends time-honoured traditions with modern flair, offering something for every taste — from art and theatre to music, dance, and fireworks by the sea.

Kicking off the season on 12 June, Fort Antoine hosts L’Impromptu de Versailles, a unique theatrical performance accompanied by live music from the Académie Rainier III. The following evening, 13 June, brings joy to little ones with the Grande Boum des Enfants at Parc Princesse Antoinette — a lively party filled with music and entertainment for kids aged 3 and up.

Creativity takes centre stage on 14–15 June with the Street Art Challenge Junior at Promenade du Larvotto, running alongside the renowned UPAINT festival. Music lovers won’t want to miss the Gala de Musique on 18 June at Auditorium Rainier III, or the high-energy Splash Party for teens at Stade Nautique Rainier III the same day.

On 21 June, the Principality celebrates Fête de la Musique, turning the city into a musical playground, ending with a thrilling DJ set by MOSIMANN on Quai Albert Ier. Traditional Monegasque culture comes alive with Fête de la Saint-Jean on 23–24 June, complete with fire rituals and a stunning lightshow in the historic squares.

25 June features the Gala Théâtre, again spotlighting Académie Rainier III’s talented students. And on 28 June, Monaco celebrates its friendship with Italy during Dolceacqua Night at Marché de la Condamine.

July brings a Western twist with U Sciaratu, the festive carnival in Le Rocher on 4 July. Throughout 9 July to 20 August, Musical Evenings will animate Larvotto and Square Gastaud, including a standout concert by music students from Réunion Island on 16 July. Meanwhile, Port Hercule transforms into a vibrant summer fair (18 July–24 August) featuring go-karts, trampolines, fun zones, and family-friendly activities.

On 26 July and again on 9 August, fireworks will light up the sky, framed by music and fun before and after the show. Events continue into September, with the traditional Bal du Marché on 12 September, and a farewell celebration at the Médiathèque on 19 September before it moves to a new location.

Add to this the daily offerings at Stade Nautique (aquagym, diving), the Botanical Centre, and hands-on workshops at the Jardin Exotique, and Monaco becomes a true Riviera playground for summer 2025.

Whether you're a local or just passing through, this summer promises magic, memories, and plenty of reasons to celebrate under the Monegasque sun.
