Monaco will host the 16th edition of the Monaco Run Gramaglia on February 14 and 15, bringing together 4,500 runners and significant traffic restrictions across the Principality.
The security and logistics setup began earlier this week. Quai Albert Ier has been closed to traffic since midnight on Wednesday, February 12, and will remain inaccessible until Sunday at 2pm to allow for the installation of the three-day Running Expo village.
On Saturday, February 14, the first races will lead to road closures on Quai des États-Unis, Route de la Piscine and Darse Sud between 8:30am and 9:15am. These areas will again be closed on Sunday from 8:30am to 11:30am for the main events.
Sunday will see the most extensive disruptions. Avenue J.-F. Kennedy and Boulevard Louis II will be closed between 8:30am and 11:30am, while access to Larvotto will also be affected, including the Portier roundabout and the Sporting Monte-Carlo and Monte-Carlo Bay roundabouts. On Avenue Princesse Grace, traffic will alternate under manual control to allow residents and hotel guests limited access when possible.
Parking restrictions have been in place since February 12 on several key roads and will continue through Sunday night. Additional parking bans will apply from Saturday midday through Sunday midday on major arteries including Avenue J.-F. Kennedy and Boulevard Louis II. Public bus routes will also be diverted on Sunday until approximately noon.
The event features six race formats, including the 30km Trail du Mont Agel, City Trail, 10km, 5km, children’s races and the Pink Ribbon Walk. Around 180 volunteers will support the organisation, alongside a three-day Running Expo at Quai Albert Ier.
