The 2024 Palermo-Montecarlo regatta, a prestigious race spanning 500 nautical miles between Sicily and Monaco, kicked off with around fifty boats navigating the challenging post-storm conditions. Organized by the Circolo della Vela Sicilia, in collaboration with the Yacht Club de Monaco and the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, this year's competition features three members of the Monegasque club: Andrea Statari, Paul Basson, and Tristan Le Brun.

As the fleet sailed past Capo Gallo, where unpredictable winds tested their strategic decisions, a leading trio quickly emerged. The American boat "Lucky", skippered by Bryon Ehrhart, took an early lead, closely pursued by "Black Jack 100"—helmed by Monaco's own Tristan Le Brun—and Balthasar.

The race, now in its 19th edition, will conclude with a prize-giving ceremony at the Monaco Yacht Club, where the Angelo Randazzo and Giuseppe Tasca D’Almerita trophies will be awarded to the winners.
