France’s Regional Health Agency confirmed on Tuesday that drinking water in Antibes is contaminated with lead. It stated on its website, “Lead always has toxic effects on the body, even at low doses, especially in the nervous system, bone marrow and kidneys.”
Meanwhile in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, a large-scale operation will begin on Monday, October 3, to replace the main drinking water pipeline as the current system is no longer able to ensure delivery to the east of town. This work is essential to secure the water supply for residents.
In 2019, the World Health Organization said, “By 2025, half of the world’s population will be living in water-stressed areas. Inadequate management of urban, industrial, and agricultural wastewater means the drinking water of hundreds of millions of people is dangerously contaminated or chemically polluted.”
According to WHO, only two and a half percent of the planet’s fresh water supply is suitable for drinking, 12% of the world’s population uses 85% percent of its water and 1.2 billion people in the developing world are denied adequate access to clean drinking water—due to water shortages, poverty, and lack of education about the impact of drinking unpurified water.
“Globally, at least 2 billion people use a drinking water source contaminated with feces,” the UN reported last year. “Every day, over 700 children under five years old die from diarrhea linked to unsafe water, sanitation and poor hygiene.”
Peder Køltzow, founder of Crystal Water Group which has joined forces with Monaco Foundry, spent years working a game changer for water purification. “The global water purifier market generated revenue of $52.3 billion in 2020 and is expected to grow considerably,” he said. “The world’s largest company in water infrastructure, Saint Gobain, has predicted there will be a revolution in the private market when purification provides better quality than bottled water.”
The Norwegian has introduced an affordable and consumer-friendly price level Scandinavian Hydration Concept using the Crystal Water filter. “By using the scientific principle of electropositive attraction, a NASA-derived technology, we achieve a rapid and highly-efficient adsorption of virtually all particle sizes, including bacteria, viruses, cysts and even trace pharmaceuticals,” says Køltzow. This protects you against, for example, E.coli, Giardia parasites, sediment and lead.
With both over and the counter installation options, the tap water purifier has 5 stages, beginning with air/oxygen. Køltzow, 58, says the difference between fresh running water and stagnant water is how much oxygen it contains: “In the first step of the treatment process, incoming water is compressed and mixed with oxygen in an ejector, that forms a large number of microbubbles into the tap water, making the water enriched with air/oxygen.”
From there, the oxygen enriched water is led from the ejector with high speed into the cylinder in a circular stream, creating an upgoing vortex. This creates an optimal flow around the pillar which also creates an optimal exposure from the magnetic field, and this patented treatment reduces surface tension and makes a unique softness to the water. The Crystal Water carbon filters are infused with Norwegian quartz crystals and the unique EAT filter removes unwanted elements such as chlorine, micro-organisms and contamination, impurities ensuring safe and healthy drinking water.
Crystal Water Group Ltd. equally created a drinking water system for disaster aid in parts of the world where there is poor water infrastructure. “We offer a unique combination of AODD—air operated double diaphragm—robust self-priming water pumps, with end user drinking water treatment. This includes a water pump with a 12 voltage solar panel.
As Køltzow further explains,“Our drinking water solutions provide safe and healthy drinking water while at the same time represent a sustainable alternative to polluting plastic water bottles.”
