In a move that underscores both its refined heritage and cosmopolitan reach, Monaco will host the second edition of the World Caviar Awards on November 6, 2025. Held at the illustrious Yacht Club de Monaco, the event promises to be more than a culinary showcase - it is a cultural statement, uniting craftsmanship, tradition, and innovation on a global stage.
Founded by Laurent Morin, a veteran of the caviar industry, the World Caviar Awards debuted in 2024 in Saint-Émilion. Its return - this time to the heart of the Mediterranean principality - marks a notable evolution. “The key was to create a credible, transparent project built on shared values: passion for the product, respect for craftsmanship, and the desire to share it with consumers,” says Morin.
Under the high patronage of Her Highness Princess Yasmine Murat, Princess of Pontecorvo, the event is poised to draw top producers, culinary figures, and connoisseurs from across the globe.
At the center of the Awards is a rigorous blind tasting competition featuring caviars from 20 countries - including Iran, France, China, Russia, and the United States. Divided into two categories, Producers and Merchants/Affineurs, each sample will be judged anonymously under identical conditions by two separate juries comprised of Michelin-starred chefs, experts, and members of the princely family, with results validated by sworn bailiffs.

This impartial format, Morin says, “offers an international showcase for producers” and elevates caviar to the level of wine or cheese in its diversity and terroir-driven expression.
The event extends beyond the tasting room. Guests will partake in a cocktail reception and a ten-hands dinner crafted by celebrated chefs - a gastronomic tribute to a product once reserved solely for royal courts, now embraced by contemporary haute cuisine.
Monaco, long associated with elegance and excellence, offers an apt backdrop. As Morin reflects: “It embodies and represents a certain art of living. Bringing this project here is a true honor.”
For one day this November, Monaco will become the world capital of caviar - celebrating not only a delicacy, but the heritage and human artistry behind it.
