On Saturday, August 23, Prince Albert II of Monaco took part in the official launch of the 2025 edition of La Vuelta, Spain’s premier cycling race. This year’s event began for the first time in Turin, in the Piedmont region of Italy.
The Principality of Monaco will serve as the host of the Grand Départ of La Vuelta in 2026. The opening stage is scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2026.

La Vuelta, part of the UCI WorldTour calendar, is one of professional cycling’s three Grand Tours, alongside the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia.
