Monaco United has officially secured promotion to the Regional Division, capping an undefeated campaign with a decisive two-legged playoff victory over Étoile d’Aubune. This milestone marks a significant achievement for the club, which was established less than a year ago with the explicit goal of rapid advancement through the football pyramid.
Under the leadership of President and Head Coach Marco Simone, the team maintained a dominant presence throughout the season, characterized by an attack-minded philosophy and strong collective cohesion. The promotion playoffs served as the final hurdle, which the Monegasque side cleared with emphatic results, recording a 10-1 victory in the home leg followed by a 6-1 win on the road this past Sunday.
"Creating a club from scratch and seeing it grow so quickly brings a unique feeling," said Simone. "Today, watching our players become champions, seeing the club earn promotion to the Regional Division, and witnessing the enthusiasm building around Monaco United is an extraordinary reward."
The squad's performance throughout the 2025-2026 season was marked by consistency and resilience, securing both the District Championship and the Marenco Cup, while also reaching the final of the Mediterranean Cup. For team captain Houleyemata Deme, the success is rooted in the squad's commitment to their shared footballing identity.
"We needed to remain faithful to our identity throughout the season without ever changing our habits, and we succeeded in imposing our style of play," Deme noted.
As the club looks toward the next season, the promotion stands as the cornerstone of a broader, long-term project and the solidification of a foundational team culture.
